During her long career in education, both in Canada and internationally, Margaret Swain has fulfilled roles as a teacher, school and system administrator, professional development leader, curriculum and policy developer and writer, and author of professional articles and books. In her current work as a teacher educator at Mount Saint Vincent University, she teaches graduate and B.Ed. courses in literacy, curriculum, assessment, and teaching students with exceptionalities. Through her writing, consultation, professional development workshops, and research, she focuses on issues of concern for teachers, parents, and administrators.
