JoEllen McCarthy is a lifelong learner and staff developer who spends her days teaching and learning alongside students, teachers, and administrators. Through collaborative coaching conversations she supports a curriculum of children and emphasizes literacy as a vehicle to care. JoEllen is the Educator Collaborative’s Book Ambassador, has considerable knowledge of effective literacy practices and child development, and has passion and expertise for children’s literature, making her a significant resource in the school districts with which she works.
